Located between Jebel Ali and Al Sufouh, Dubai Marina consists of 10 smaller districts, with Jumeirah Beach Residence being the most popular. The area surrounds an artificial harbor that extends up to 3 kilometers, giving it the name "Dubai Marina" or "harbor for the yachts." The construction began in 2003 and is now almost complete.
Dubai Marina offers a variety of amenities, including over 200 residential buildings, hotels, dining and entertainment options, and a shopping center with over 130 stores. With its waterfront views and access to the sea, it has become a highly sought-after location for property investment and a popular holiday resort destination. It is no wonder that Dubai Marina has become one of the most prestigious and rapidly developing areas in Dubai.
Infrastructure
Living in Dubai Marina offers the advantage of a convenient location, with easy access to Al Sufouh Rd and Sheikh Zayed Rd, connecting all seven emirates. It is also close to Jumeirah Lakes Towers, Dubai Media City, Barsha Heights, JBR, Palm Jumeirah, Dubai Internet City, and Umm Suqeim, all of which are just a 10-15 minute drive away.
However, Dubai Marina does not have many educational institutions in its immediate vicinity. Nonetheless, there are several schools in nearby areas such as Al Sufouh, Umm Suqeim, Al Barsha, and The Springs, all within a 15-minute drive and offering Indian, British, and American curricula. Additionally, there are numerous kindergartens within walking distance both inside and outside Dubai Marina.
Public Transport and Parking Spaces
Living in Dubai Marina offers the convenience of easy access to major roads connecting all seven emirates, as well as popular areas such as Jumeirah Lakes Towers, Dubai Media City, Barsha Heights, JBR, Palm Jumeirah, Dubai Internet City, and Umm Suqeim. While there are not many educational institutions within Dubai Marina itself, there are several schools offering Indian, British, and American curricula in nearby areas within a 15-minute drive. Residents can enjoy the ease of movement by car or public transport, with most real estate providing parking spaces and public parking services available. The community is also served by two metro stations (red line), several bus stops, and a tram line connecting various attractions and nearby areas.
Furthermore, the proximity of Dubai Marina to both Dubai International Airport and Al Maktoum International Airport makes travel convenient, with a car journey taking approximately 30 minutes from any development or attraction in the area.
Amenities and Healthcare
Pier 7 which is a 7-storeyed complex of some of the best restaurants in the world, is a 5-minute walk from Dubai Marina Yacht Club and is right next to Dubai Marina Mall. There are also several branches of the ZOOM Convenience Stores, a Waitrose, Spinneys and West Zone Fresh Supermarkets throughout the area.
In terms of healthcare, Dubai Marina is a 5-10 minute walk from Medcare Medical Center (JBR) and the Emirates Hospitals Clinic. In case of emergency, it is best to visit the Al Zahra Hospital which is located close to the Al Barsha sub-community.
