Ahead of the new tourist season, Dubai has refreshed its list of city beaches.
The Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism has updated the list of city beaches in preparation for the upcoming tourist season.
The beach in the Jumeirah Beach Residence (JBR) area, stretching 1.7 km, is one of the most popular and well-maintained in Dubai. It offers everything for a relaxing day under the sun and water sports, including the open-air shopping complex The Beach, beach equipment rentals, cafes, and restaurants.
Kite Beach, which spans 14 km, is a popular spot for active recreation, seaside walks, and water sports. It features bike rentals, kitesurfing and surfing equipment, sports courts, cafes, and restaurants. The beach is also equipped for night swimming.
Jumeirah Public Beach is equally popular among families with children and active recreation enthusiasts. The Kite n Surf club offers full equipment rentals for kitesurfing, paddleboarding, or kayaking, and the nearby Sunset Mall provides additional shopping options. This beach is also equipped for night swimming.
Al Mamzar Beach Park, covering a total area of 106 hectares, is one of Dubai's popular family-friendly destinations, distinguished by its well-maintained beaches with green lawns, walking areas, bike paths, swimming pools, and a children's playground. An amphitheater on-site hosts entertainment events.
Dubai Islands Beach is a popular spot for both locals and tourists. This beach offers kayak and paddleboard rentals, football and beach volleyball courts, and is also pet-friendly.
In September, a new beach and dining complex will open on the site of the former La Mer beach, to be named J1 Beach. The new coastal area will feature 13 restaurants and several beach clubs.
