The First Casino in the UAE: Wynn Al Marjan Island in Ras Al Khaimah

In early 2027, Ras Al Khaimah will see the opening of the Wynn Al Marjan Island, a large entertainment complex with a casino that promises to become a landmark in the UAE. Although Wynn Resorts' flagship project is located in Las Vegas, their new venture in Ras Al Khaimah is expected to be even grander and more impressive!

The design concept for Wynn Al Marjan Island has already been unveiled, giving us a glimpse into the future. The resort will feature a luxurious hotel with 1,500 rooms, suites, and villas, along with numerous restaurants, a conference hall, shops, and spa centers. In the evenings, guests will be treated to spectacular laser and light shows. The project is estimated to cost $3.9 billion.

Wynn Al Marjan Island Resort, as the first hotel with a casino in the UAE, is set to revolutionize the tourism market in Ras Al Khaimah. According to forecasts by the Tourism Development Authority, the casino is expected to attract around 3 million tourists annually. The opening of this resort will not only increase the number of tourists in the emirate but will also serve as a catalyst for economic growth and the creation of numerous new jobs.

Ras Al Khaimah has long positioned itself as an alternative to Dubai in the domestic tourism market. In the past, the emirate offered more lenient regulations on alcohol sales. Now, the focus is shifting to gambling, while Dubai's authorities have no immediate plans to make changes in this area.

    Long-term or short-term rental

I'm considering renting out my one-bedroom apartment, and I'm wondering whether a long-term or short-term rental would be more advantageous?
To generate passive income, one can explore the option of renting real estate in Dubai, which includes both short-term and long-term rental opportunities. Short-term rentals can yield substantial profits but come with the drawback of potential vacant periods, particularly during the off-season. In contrast, long-term rentals offer a more consistent income stream, albeit at a lower daily rate.
